Latest finished blanket project. This one is one I made for hubby quite some time ago. I hated it because I didn’t like how the edges looked. I pulled it out of the cupboard a few weeks ago with the intention of unravelling it to re-use the wool, but Chris loves it so I decided to figure out a way to crochet a new border – one that I was happy with. So… this is now the finished piece. I used a double border (AKA envelope border). It is very time consuming and complex for what looks to be such a plain border but so worth it as it gives the whole blanket a professional finish. This is now my new favourite. So glad I didn’t pull it all apart now!!

Ok….so remember I mentioned the epic baby blanket I was working on? It was a special order. I finished it (finally) just before Xmas and here are the pics. It is called the Rainbow of Stars Blanket. It was made with much love for a friend to gift to her daughter who is expecting her first child – a boy – in April. I am really pleased proud of how this turned out.
